Job Description

Reporting to the Head of Sales-Financial Markets, the job incumbent will be responsible in assisting Sales Dealers in FX within the Division with their trade support requirements in view of improving efficiency and support the Dealers in their day-to-day activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist Dealers in preparation of daily reports on FX market
  • Maintain MIS on Treasury figures and day to day operations
  • Capture deals on Treasury system
  • Support Treasury Dealers in their day-to-day activities, including reporting to the Bank of Mauritius
  • Support the team with respect to trade bookings and trade confirmations
  • Ensure adequate information is recorded efficiently for all deals
  • Liaise with other internal departments with regards to trade settlement
  • Ensure high level of service standards, including high level of ethics and integrity in line with SBM values
  • Perform any other cognate duties

Qualifications, Experience & Skills:

  • University degree in Finance, Financial Mathematics or Financial Engineering or equivalent quantitative degree
  • At least 6 months’ experience in a similar field or any relevant areas
  • Excellent analytical and technical skills
  • Excellent organizational, communication & interpersonal skills
  • Capability to work in a fast-paced and result-oriented environment
  • Ability to perform under pressure
  • Solution provider and proactive attitude
  • Natural ability to self-motivate and work in a dynamic environment
